2021 SUMMIT LAKE VINEYARDS ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
HOWELL MOUNTAIN "EMILY KESTRAL VINEYARD"
In Stock
The foundation for this wine comes from the Cabernet vines that Bob first planted on the property in 1973. Old, gnarled and well established, these vines produce less and less fruit each year, but what they produce is beautiful, complex and a stunning example of the terroir that Howell Mountain is famous for. Floral and spicy with supple tannins and a long finish.

Summit Lake makes fantastic wine, and it is a hidden gem of a winery -- It is a family-run winery with excellent quality, and they are super friendly and down-to-earth. It is also a fun winery to visit. While all of their wines are excellent, I highly recommend the Emily Kestral Cabernet in particular.

Summit Lake winery is our absolute favorite and this Cabernet is outstanding. Heather and her family are some of the nicest people you will meet and all of their wines are excellent. You can tell they love what they do.

One of our absolutely favorite wines on the planet. Open it up and it drinks delicious out of the bottle. Let it open up and the complexity keeps on impressing. It also helps that every sip brings us back to the most beautiful land ever where its produced and the nicest farmers/winemakers we have ever met! Love the wine, love the people who make it!

I've been enjoying Summit Lake wines since 2016 and they always hit the spot! I especially enjoy the Cab. Its my go-to for special occasions with friends and family or as gifts to fellow wine lovers. Highly recommend!

This wine is beautifully balanced. You get big, bold tannins and real flavour intensity, but there’s also a wonderful acidity that lifts the whole experience. There’s concentrated blackberry and cassis, a touch of cocoa, and firm tannins, but it never feels heavy - it stays fresh and focused all the way through the finish. It has that intensity Howell Mountain does so well, while still staying balanced. Honestly, worth the money. Delicious.
