The VinFormants Shipping and Handling Procedures

Business Address is Best!

We strongly suggest you ship your wine to your business or commercial address. This will ensure that someone is present to sign for your package. Wine packages will be sent back to us after 3 delivery attempts. Tracking is sent upon shipper receipt.  Once the package leaves our warehouse it is the customers responsibility to track and manage delivery.

Returns: We charge all return fee's on re-shipments and a $25 return fee. The VinFormants will not refund any shipping charges or purchases if the wine is returned for any reason.  Packages that are returned, can be re-shipped with the full cost of return & shipping based on your zipcode.  Refunds on returned wines due to shipping will not be processed.

Handling fee's will be assesed in some areas based on zip code and may include fuel surcharges, out of area, & signature fee's.  Please email us directly with any questions.  We can only ship wine into compliat states. The status of some states has changed. VinFormant will determine your shipping status during checkout by verifying your ZIP Code and your state.  (For all other state questions please enter your zipcode on the cart page)    Hawaii & Alaska are not currently eligable for flat rate or complimentary shipping.

We are not allowed to ship into certain states but we expect that the laws will change soon. If you live in one of these states you can help change your wine law by visiting Free The Grapes and writing your local congressmen.

It’s the rules Ladies and Gents! You can’t purchase wine from The VinFormants unless you are 21 years of age. All states require an adult signature so please be sure that an authorized person at least 21 years of age is available to sign for your VinFormant Delivery.

We take great care in the wine we ship and constantly monitor weather conditions nationally.  Many areas during late spring - early fall will experiencing extreme heat. (Ya'll know who you are!) If you would prefer to upgrade your shipping to 2nd day air please give us a call and we will get your billing information from you. 
We will continue to monitor weather in your area and will ship your wine when temperatures lower to 86 degrees and below.   Some areas will remain on high temperature alert for the majority of the summer.  We offer a complimentary summer cellar program.  Details are below.  If you prefer to enroll in our cellar program please send us an email.  Jlynn@vinformant.com.  This is the only way to guarantee a hold on your wine or you can call our office to confirm hold and release information.   We do our best to honor requests made in the notes section and checkout, but please guarantee your holds over the phone or through summer cellar enrollment.
 

The VinFormants are selecting high end wines only and we will take great care shipping and handling your wine.  If there is something wrong with your order or your wines please notify us within 30 days.  Reports of damage after 30 days will not be refunded.  Returns and Refunds will take shipping costs into account.  Contact us if you have any problems with your shipment or you are unsatisfied with the wines. DURING SUMMER MONTHS WE STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TWO DAY AIR YOUR SHIPMENTS OR HOLD UNTIL A FUTURE DATE. 

The title and ownership of the wine passes from the winery to the purchaser. The purchaser takes all responsibility for their local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that they are in compliance with local and state law and have obtained and paid any required fees, is 21 years of age and is ordering quantities of wine that are legal in their state.

Unless otherwise noted on our homepage the day of the feature, your order will be processed and shipped within 48 hours of the last sale date. You can expect to receive your order within 2 – 10 shipping days after processing depending on which state you live in. You will have an option to upgrade to overnight, 2 day air. The only time we will hold wine is when weather is a problem. We do everything possible to protect your wine against extreme weather conditions. We will contact you regarding weather holds.
