The 2021 Intentus Pinot Noir, English Hill Vineyards comes from a small, hand-farmed vineyard perched high up on a western-facing slope west of Sebastopol, overlooking the Sonoma Coast in the beautiful Sonoma County. Just a few short miles away rests the Pacific Ocean, adding a cool, foggy and windy influence which allows the delicate Pinot Noir grapes to mature slowly to produce wines of grace, elegance and aromatic perfection in a restrained Old-World flavor profile. Grape selections made up of 2/3rd Pinot Noir, clone 115 and 1/3rd Pinot Noir clone 667. Whole berry fermentation, gently punched-down by hand, aged on the lees in French oak barrels.

The 2018 Intentus Napa Valley Syrah, Coombsville AVA, leads with vibrant aromatics of rich dark fruit, blackberries, wild strawberry, lilacs and hibiscus flower generously sprinkled with exotic wood spices. Complex flavors of ripe dark fruit compote, red licorice and hints of hibiscus flower, lilacs, wild strawberries with a dried cherry lift on the finish. This incredibly round, medium-bodied wine offers supple tannins and a silky mouthfeel which seduces your senses and your palate all the way to its long mouthwatering finish that just doesn’t quit.
The 2021 Intentus Pinot Noir, Terra de Promissio Vineyards bottling comes from the enchanting Terra de Promissio Vineyards, situated on the steep rolling hills above the Petaluma Gap within the eastern regions of the Sonoma Coast AVA in Sonoma County. Planted in 2002 and farmed sustainably by the dedicated Karren family, this vineyard has optimum sun exposure for increased fruit intensity and concentration while the winds and dense fog layers coming from the Petaluma Gap slow maturity and allow for an extended hangtime producing wines of incredible length and balance.
Just 4 hand-picked rows of Pinot Noir clone 115 were used in this year's bottling of Intentus. Whole berry fermentation, gently punched-down by hand, aged on the lees in French oak barrels.
