Azur 2022 Rose d'Or Napa Valley

What do Lafite-Rothschild, Philippe Melka, Provence, and surfing have in common? Élan and Julian Fayard!! Julian is, of course, the French winemaking surfer (much like his Napa Valley mentor, the legendary Mr. Melka) behind many super-high-end brands (Purlieu and Covert, to name a few, check out their scores…) and he made dozens more such as Vineyard 29, Lail, during his years with Melka. Élan is the brains and energy behind the whole AZUR project (she also has her own consulting business), the label they started some years ago after meeting in Provence where Élan worked.

LITERALLY lip-smacking, bone dry, cool-drink-of-mountain-spring-water type of rose in the classic Provence style. Dry, of course, pale colored and packed with waves of cantaloupe, rose hips, mountain raspberry and jasmine flowers breaking onto your tongue and into your brain cells. Crisp, aromatic, fresh as the summer days are long, vigorous and fresh-making!!
