2023 Tres Sabores Por Que No Red Blend
I recall that we composed this blend from some 22 individual barrel lots! The fruit was sourced from a broad geographical range of vineyards and elevations with the goal of optimizing the fruit quality and individuality of the various terroirs. Hand picked, meticulously sorted and either just de-stemmed (Zinfandel), partially de-stemmed/ crushed (Petite Sirah) or crushed (Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot). 50% natural fermentation. Aged in largely "previously inspired" (neutral) French and American oak barrels.
WINEMAKER NOTES: It's an original, it's a salsa party, it's a delightfully smooth blend that needs no special occasion to open and enjoy anytime--with anyone! Crafted with the playful souls and generous hearts of the grapes in mind, we love the results: layers and layers of ripe dark berries, spices, and chocolate. It's robust, yet smooth and satisfying. Simply put, a completely satisfying, never over-embellished 'good drink' that's always ready with a very easy answer to the question: "How about a glass of delicious red wine?"
