2022 Elizabeth Spencer North Coast Rosé of Pinot Noir
There are rosés… and then there are rosés with serious Napa pedigree.
The 2022 Elizabeth Spencer North Coast Rosé of Pinot Noir is one of those wines I personally wait for every single year. I don’t say this lightly — I belong to their club just to secure my allocation. It has been my favorite rosé for decades.
The winemaking team reads like Napa royalty:
Owner Jean-Charles Boisset
Longtime Winemaker Sarah V.
Consulting Winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett — yes, that Heidi Barrett, the legendary “100-point winemaker” whose résumé spans some of Napa Valley’s most elite wines.
But beyond the star power, the wine absolutely delivers.
Explosive notes of summer strawberries and white cherry burst from the glass, layered with flinty river-rock minerality and zesty citrus peel. Aromas of star jasmine and fresh-cut grass lead into a refreshing watermelon agua fresca finish that is both vibrant and refined.
It is beautifully structured and complex enough to pair with food, yet dangerously crushable and endlessly drinkable.
Screw cap. Beach-ready. Lake-ready. Patio-ready.
This is the bottle you reach for all summer long — and then wish you had more of.
