2018 Caro Nonno Zinfandel
Our 2018 Caro Nonno Zinfandel was harvested on October 2, 2018 at 28.1 brix. The nature of the Zinfandel grape is to ripen unevenly, but the hot days in Lodi allow for the fruit to establish a high sugar content while still maintaining acidity. This wine was fermented for 16 days on the skins before being pressed. The wine aged for 14 months in barrel with 30% new French oak influence. The 20% blend of Malbec and Syrah added structure and mouthfeel to the wine while still showcasing the fruit forward nature of Zinfandel.
