2021 MCKAHN FAMILY VIOGNIER RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY

McKahn makes some epic Rhône-style wines wines and their viognier is no exception. It has a beautiful bouquet of citrus fruits, stone fruits and spring flowers. These are also experienced on the palate. This is my absolute favorite viognier on the planet! It has a crisp acidity that enables it to be paired in a variety of ways. It goes with seafood, spicy Thai food, roasted vegetables, rice dishes, or all by itself while sitting on the front porch waving goodbye to the last days of summer.

Medium straw in color with aromas of pear and apple blossom, white flowers. This full bodied viognier pairs perfectly with crab and other seafood. Great acid and distinct mouthfeel. This viognier is beautifully balance and complex.

The balance of flower and fruit makes this Viognier easy to enjoy by itself on a warm day, and even better paired with a variety of foods. It's become my go-to gift, especially for friends that don't usually enjoy white wines.
